The tumescent fluid contains a analgesic reducing pain and discomfort before and after treatment and a vaso-constricting drug that contracts ( makes narrower ) the blood vessels to reduce blood flow. Because there is little or no blood loss, bruising is minimal, recovery quicker and the whole procedure much safer. This helps the surgeon to remove fat more easily by flooding and distending the fat cells, so making removal safer and easier, and provides local anesthesia after treatment, thereby reducing any pain or discomfort you may feel on recovery.
